We got the new studio finished, just in time to participate in the Oregon Glass Guild’s 2016 Open Studio Tour.  My wife Rox and I were excited to welcome four additional OGG glass artists to join us at our studio for this event;  Julie Vincent, Kathy Engholm, Sharon Dunham and Lyn Kennison.

One of the highlights of the show was our hands-on activity where visitors got to decorate and sandblast glassware like these two created by friend and fellow glass artist, Kirsten Graham.  This proved to be very popular with everyone from toddlers to seniors and a number of people used it as an opportunity to create unique Christmas gifts for their friends and family.

The first six images below show the work of Julie, Kathy, Sharon and Lyn. The rest of the images show the inside of our new studio, and include glass artwork by my wife, Rox Heath, landscape photography by my son Robin Heath and glass artwork by myself, Bob Heath. In the last two images, you can see people busy decorating glassware for sandblasting with guidance from my son Robin.
