These vases range in size from about 6 1/2″ to 9″ in height and about 2 3/4″ to 5″ in diameter. Some have sandcarved imagery on the outside, others contain patterns in the glass and some just have colorful surface decoration. These are formed with a process called “drop ring” where the glass is stretched by heat and gravity in the kiln. This results in them having a very thick and heavy base which makes them very stable. Some of them cast beautiful shadows when lit from the top.
