All of the pieces in this collection are glass tabletops. Each tabletop comes with a table base, but I don’t create those, I just provide them with the tabletop to make a complete functional table.  Each tabletop is a thick sheet of glass that has been sandcarved from the back to create a relief pattern in the glass that can be viewed from the front surface. After sandcarving, the pattern is hand painted to add color, then gilded, which means that a metal foil is applied over the paint. The gilded background reflects light back through the painted pattern and makes it really sparkle. After the gilding, multiple layers of epoxy are applied to the back surface to seal and protect the painted image.

These tables are perfectly functional or can be simply used as decorative items.
